G Wagon Self Drive Hire Adelaide — What You Need to Know

Adelaide's most iconic luxury SUV is now available for self drive hire — and if you've been thinking about getting behind the wheel of a Mercedes-AMG G63, here's everything you need to know before booking.

What Is the Mercedes-AMG G63?

The G-Wagon is one of the most recognisable luxury SUVs in the world. The AMG G63 takes it to another level — a hand-built 4.0L V8 Biturbo engine producing 585hp, a distinctive boxy silhouette, and an interior finished in premium materials throughout.

It's the kind of car that turns heads everywhere it goes. And now you can drive one yourself in Adelaide.

How Does Self Drive Hire Work?

Self drive hire is exactly what it sounds like — you get the keys, and you drive. No chauffeur, no set route, no restrictions on where you go within South Australia.

At Adelaide Luxury & Prestige, our self drive hire includes a full day (24 hours), comprehensive insurance, unlimited kilometres within SA, and a full tank of fuel on pickup.

How Much Does It Cost?

Our G Wagon self drive hire rates are:

- Weekday hire (Monday to Friday): from $999/day
- Weekend hire (Saturday and Sunday): from $1,099/day

Contact us for multi-day rates and availability.

Who Can Hire the G Wagon?

To hire our Mercedes-AMG G63, you must:

- Be at least 25 years of age
- Hold a full valid Australian driver's licence
- Provide a security bond at the time of pickup

What's the Best Way to Experience the G Wagon?

The G63 is equally at home on Adelaide's city streets and the open roads of the Adelaide Hills or Barossa Valley. Some of our favourite self drive routes include:

- **Adelaide Hills loop** — through Stirling, Hahndorf, and Mount Barker
- **Barossa Valley** — world-class wineries and stunning countryside
- **Fleurieu Peninsula** — McLaren Vale wine region down to Victor Harbor
- **CBD and beachside** — Glenelg, Brighton, and the city foreshore

How Do I Book?

Availability is limited — we only have one G Wagon available for self drive hire at any time. We recommend booking at least 2-4 weeks in advance, especially for weekends.
